Who can be a member of the PreK Moms Group?
If you are pregnant or the mom of a preschooler, PreK Moms AM is for you!
Can I bring a friend to the PreK Moms Group?
We love to include as many moms as possible. Unfortunately our facility space limits the number of moms and children we can include, so if registration is open, yes, please invite friends! If registration is closed, we will let you know if any spots open up.
What if my child is sick?
In an effort to keep illness from spreading through the PreK group, please do not bring your child if you suspect he/she may be sick or if any siblings in the house have recently had a fever. We will miss you if you have to stay home with a sick kiddo, but we appreciate you helping us keep the other little munchkins healthy!
Does my child need to bring anything for the childcare program?
If you have a nursery-age child, the caregivers find it helpful if you send along a pacifier or favorite blanket if those are things that soothe your child. Older children should bring coats/jackets in case it is nice enough to play outside! Please label all items if possible with your child’s name. For children two years old and older, please do not send any additional items, such as toys, cups, snacks or blankets. A snack is provided. If your child has a special diet, please provide your child’s snack.
What will my child do in the childcare program?
In the nursery, caregivers play with the babies, rock them, and feed a bottle if provided. A snack is provided to older children. In the older classrooms, the children play games, are taught a Bible lesson, play outside if the weather is nice and have a snack.
Can I keep my baby with me during the PreK Moms meeting?
Yes, if your baby is a newborn, he/she can join you in our meetings! But as babies grow, their adorable babblings (and crying) can distract the group and speaker. So unless you need to nurse your baby during the meeting, please allow our loving caregivers in the nursery to cuddle your baby. You need mommy time, and the caregivers will quickly contact you should they need you. The caregivers are great at following instructions for napping, feedings, etc. And of course they change diapers!
What is the Share Table?
The share table is our free “garage sale!” Each meeting moms can bring gently used items that they no longer want, and all moms are encouraged to take as much as they want off the tables. If items you brought were not taken, feel free to take them back home or to leave them. Any items remaining at the end of the meeting will be taken to a local thrift store.
How will I receive updates, cancellations, and other info from the leadership team?
Email:
Our group uses email as our main means of communication, so make sure you add the email address to your contacts so that our communication doesn’t end up in your spam mail. We will also send out a group text to you if we have your cell number and cell provider in case of cancellation.
Facebook:
We also have an active group of moms that uses the IBC PreK Moms AM Facebook page. This is a private page, open only to current members, where we share anything from birth announcements to community events to dinner plans!

Is a PreK Moms meeting ever cancelled due to weather?
If Saginaw Township Schools are delayed or closed because of weather (e.g., fog, snow), our PreK Moms AM meeting for that day will be canceled as well, so check school closings when we have inclement weather. You may find it helpful to sign up for text alerts from ABC12 for the Saginaw Township School closings.
